Amsterdam is a city which recently got the knack of creating interesting brunch spots. So it’s harder than ever for intrepid newcomers to create a clearing in the fast-growing forest of coffee and cocktails. However, CT Coffee & Coconuts on de Pijp’s Ceintuurbaan has hacked its way in, and looks to have built itself a permanent settlement.
One of several popular brunch spots in de Pijp, the diminutive Little Collins has built a fanbase of hungry customers (particularly the expat crowd) in search of a hangover-busting breakfast, detoxifying juice or Tabasco-heavy Bloody Mary.
Eerste Sweelinckstraat and Eerste van der Helststraat are in the heart of de Pijp, running in parallel from Albert Cuypmarkt to opposite ends of Sarphatipark. Both streets are pedestrianised (apart from bikes of course) and offer a great mixture of laid back and unique venues to eat, drink and shop.
