Kompas is a guide to visiting and living in Amsterdam. Our mission is to help our families, friends and ourselves get the most out of our adopted city by recording personal notes and recommendations about where we enjoy spending our time.

Kompas acts as a memory bank and cheat sheet for our favourite neighbourhoods, shops, bars, restaurants and cultural spots. We won’t send you – our loved ones – somewhere just for its high profile. We won’t encourage you to only follow a guide book. We’d much rather let you know where we like to be and why, so you might choose to be there too.
