Situated in de Pijp on the corner of Albert Cuypstraat and the cafe-laden Eerste van der Helststraat, Flamingo sits opposite de Groene Vlinder (another favourite spot of ours). Like its neighbour, Flamingo’s relaxed atmosphere radiates into the street and the outdoor picnic-style benches beg for long summertime visits to soak up the sun.
Slightly smaller than its neighbour, Cafe Flamingo provides a more contemporary drinks menu with a pleasing selection of craft beers, fancy G&Ts and good rums amongst the usual spirit cupboard essentials. If you need some nibbles while you sink your drink, Flamingo has a short but good borrel (snacks) menu to select from too.
